As part of the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework, Oldham Council and the Greater Manchester Combine Authority (GMCA) are planning to build hundreds of houses on the Green Belt in the Royton North area. The purpose of the meeting is to update affected residents on the most recent developments and discuss the best ways of opposing these plans. There will be further meetings, so if this event is fully booked up please register on our waiting list for the next event and we will notify you when it is announced.
The proposals include the building of 260 houses on Green Belt land at Hanging Chadder, between Grasmere Road, Fir Lane, Garden Terrace and Rochdale Road and 600 houses at Thornham Old Road near Tandle Hill, with some of the proposed housing stretching to Tandle Hill Road.
