Imagine...

  • Lorries and diggers rumbling past your house all hours of the day.

  • The dust and pollution.

  • The devastation to wildlife.

  • Your house dropping £1,000s in value.

  • The over-subscribed schools.

  • Trying to get a doctor's appointment.

  • The traffic jams.

OMBC want to change Royton. Forever.

Join us with your neighbours, friends and family to take action

With OMBC determined to push on with its plans to build on Royton's Green Belt, some of our Thornham based members have established the Royton North Greenbelt Action Group with the aim of taking legal action against the council. To this end the 200 Club has been created to raise funds to pay for a judicial review of the Thornham allocations in the GMSF. The 200 Club is an exclusive club of residents who have contributed £200 to our legal fund. We know it's a lot to ask, but a judicial review can cost up to £50,000. The club can be summarized as follows:

  1. Members contribute £200 to the fund.

  2. If you cannot afford the full sum all in one go you can create a standing order to pay in monthly instalments over a 1-year or 2-year period.

  3. The fund will only be used to finance legal action to contest Hanging Chadder and any other allocations on Thornham's Green Belt.

  4. If the council drop their plans to build on our Green Belt YOUR MONEY WILL BE RETURNED.

  5. If legal action is undertaken and money is left over your contribution will be refunded on a pro-rata basis from the remaining monies. For example, if you contributed £200 to a total fund of £50,000 and only £25,000 was used, then £100 would be returned to you.

You can think of the 200 Club as a form of house/community insurance. You will probably spend at least £300 on your house and contents insurance every year and how often do you claim? The 200 Club is much better value in that respect because if we don't use the money you get it back. You won't get that deal from Churchill!

With the generosity and fighting spirit of the residents of Thornham and Royton we will show OMBC they picked a fight in the wrong town.
